Re: Results: Michigan MLK2K

I'd like to congratulate the Michigan folks on
TWO well-run tournaments this weekend. I moderated at
both MLK and ABD, and amazingly my voice held out, and
I had a really good time. Yes, Sunday WAS seemingly
the first-ever trash tournament that ran on
time!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to toot the
horn of the Penn State program, which I helped found
all those 13.5 years ago (wow, that long?). Penn
State's A team finished second at MLK behind Chicago
(kind of like winning the silver medal in olympic
hockey in the 60's or 70's when the Soviets were kicking
everyone's butt). They were led by _freshman_ Cathy Vrentas,
who finished 11th overall in scoring. Things are
looking up -- this is the first time Penn State has had
the guns to finish at the top of a strong field since
Nainan Kovoor graduated in about 1992. Congrats to Rob
and the gang.
