I had no idea what it was talking about either, which is something I
thought about last night in relation to some people's complaints about
the continuation of this discussion. I (Ph.D. astrophysics) couldn't
begin to follow the mathematical arguments being put forth by my friend
Alex and others, so I suspect you need to be a math major or
mathematician to have any chance at the question. Not that this is good
or bad, and there's an argument to be made for specialized knowledge in
QB; but it's a point to be made. The rough equivalent in my field would
be discussing the differences between spectra expected from
bremsstrahlung and synchrotron emissions from an astrophysical plasma,
which I learned (though don't necessarily remember) in an astro. class I
took junior year.

As for the penis question, if the moderator couldn't get through it with
a straight face, it should have been thrown out, so I agree with the
other post that that was a moderator screw-up.
