CBI region 1 results

Boston University went undefeated to claim their first CBI region 1 
title yesterday at Bentley College.  

A 10 team affair, after the round-robin the standings were:

1. BU 9-0
2. UMass-Lowell 7-2
3. Williams 7-2
4. Providence 5-4
4. Babson 5-4
4. Connecticut College 5-4

The tiebreak for the final spot in the four team double elim went as 
the teams are listed above.

In the playoff opener, BU defeated Providence while Williams defeated 
Lowell.  BU then beat Williams, while Lowell eliminated Providence 
from the tournament.  Williams knocked out Lowell, and BU put up an 
impressive performance over Williams to take the title (final game 
score was something like 455-60).

All-stars included Erik from BU, David from Williams, (Captain) 
Charles from Lowell, James from Providence, and a Bentley player 
whose name I've forgotten (with apologies).

UMass-Lowell took the most improved team award, while WPI earned the 
sportsmanship award.

All in all the tournament ran very smoothly, with the exception of 
some of the tournament staff (including the TD, assistant TD, and 
yours truly) getting stuck in an elevator on the way to announce the 
playoff teams.
