I admit that I missed the point Matt was making concerning 
brackets... Obviously in his method, we have a full round robin with 
no play-offs. I'm mixed on this issue... Obviously if after a round 
robin my team was ranked 2 or 3, I'd be all for a play-off... But if 
we were ranked #1, I'd be less likely to want a play-off. I know 
that seems like an obvious observation, but it is at the heart of 
the matter... 

Basically my stance is that whatever the format used, we need to 
know before the tournament begins. I've been to several tournaments 
where the official word was "we MIGHT have play-offs." Tournament 
directors need to let teams know in advance the format that will be 
used, and stick to it no matter what...

As far as full round-robin goes, though... I have to agree with Matt.
