Update: FDIC Fees

Just to remind people, the University of Rochester will be hosting the
Frederick Douglass Invitational Championship (FDIC) on Saturday,
September 27. Since it has been designed as a way to introduce new players
and schools into the world of quizbowl early in the year, we have decided to
run the tournament with a set of Invitational Series questions from NAQT.

As promised in an earlier post, here is the fee structure for the tournament:

Base Fee: $100
Second Team: $80
Buzzers: - $10
Experienced Moderator: - $10
Clock: - $5
Have not competed in non-CBI event in last 2 years: - $10
Minimum Fee: $50 per team

Also, just to update people on who might be coming to the FDIC, here is a list
of the schools that have expressed interest in attending:

Bucknell University
Case Western Reserve University
Cornell University
McGill University
University of Michigan
University of Western Ontario
West Virginia University

If you are interested in bringing a team to the FDIC, or want more information
about it, please send an e-mail to quizbowl_at_... (quizbowl _at_
mail.rochester.edu).

Fees and packet requirements for the J. Benjamin Hindes Pre-Memorial
Tournament (JBH), the packet-submission trash tournament that will be held
the day after the FDIC, will be announced soon by Fred Bush, who will be
serving as tournament director for that tournament.
