Despite the tone of your post, you raise a point worth answering,
since some people may be considering it before deciding to write for
NAQT.

Our most recent request of our writers for feedback about the editing
process produced near universal agreement from them that NAQT editors
improved the questions they submitted. This included feedback from
writers who are relative unknowns in the modern quiz bowl world and
from those who played on some of the top teams at this year's ICT.

I think that's a remarkable statement, given the pride with which
most quiz bowlers view their own questions. I'm pleased that so
many were willing to admit that somebody else's handiwork improved
not only individual questions but their own ability to write.

You don't have to take my word for it--feel free to ask any of the
people you know who write for NAQT what their experiences have been.
If you really care, ask to see their questions that have been
accepted and used and compare them to the initial versions and/or the
ones that were rejected. :-)
