Re: tournament dates...

There would have been, Nathan, had not ACF been held on Easter
weekend, which is the reason why I didn't go. (I try to be a good
Baptist, though I know you've stopped.) I know there is a lot of
emnity towards CBI on the message board, but I like CBI, partly
because it plays to my strengths far more than ACF does, partly
because it is always an enjoyable tournament. The questions are not
ACF nationals caliber, but that is hardly a bad thing, and comparing
NAQT Nationals questions and CBI Nationals questions the last couple
of years (I've been to six NAQT nationals and four CBI Nationals) I
would not hesitate to say that there are far more badly written
clunkers at NAQT than CBI.
To mention two categories, classical music and certain types of art,
CBI has both more and often better written questions.

If I had to choose between going to CBI and ACF, that would, for me,
entirely depend on where the tournament was being held, as I've
reached the point that I want to do other things when going to a
tournament than just play (which is why NAQT being in Los Angeles this
year was just awesome- Stanford next year!) I do want to point out to
Nathan, however, that it is possible to both be good at and enjoy both
CBI and ACF questions.
