Moon Pie CLassic 2003: brief results

Congratulations to Emory A and Valencia Red, winners of Divisions I
and II, respectively, at the 5th annual Moon Pie (TM) Classic. Emory
A defeated Illinois by getting all 30 points on bonus 20 of the
finals and thus avoiding a tiebreaker match. Illinois of course was
second, followed by South Carolina A and Kentucky B. In Division II,
Valencia Red was 1st, Emory B 2nd, Florida 3rd, and Kentucky C 4th.

More details and more profuse thanks will follow, but huge thanks to
Steve Taylor for serving as Editor-in-Chief, and to the folks at
Princeton for the all-important question swap. And thanks once again
to Chattanooga Bakery, who not only gave use permission to use their
registered trademark, but gave us three cases of Moon Pies for
distribution. They even gave us three flavors, none of which appeared
to have an aerodynamic advantage over the others.

A reminder: these questions will be used in a West Coast mirror next
weekend, so please hold off on public discussion of specific questions
for the moment.

Thanks to all 27 teams for a most enjoyable experience.
