We had intended to have our usual eight-player single elimination
playoffs, but one of our proposed packet trades decided not to live up
to their end of the bargain and failed to provide packets they had
promised and did not let us know of this until eight hours before the
tournament started. I'm not going to name names, but the involved
party is affiliated with a school that rhymes with Hal Work Tee.

So, we had three brackets of single elimination:

Dixie Cup (9th-12th):
Noel 150, Matthew 105
Rob 115, Dave 90
Noel 190, Rob 25

Souvenir Cup (5th-8th):
Leo 135, Stan 115
Sudheer 140, Robert 105
Leo 190, Sudheer 85

Kidder Cup (1st-4th):
Dwight 425, Joshua 20
Scott 220, Adam 140
Dwight 340, Scott 55

Dwight Kidder wins his third consecutive and fourth overall
championship.

Packet Points (Weighted Average of Packet Strength ranked for highest
over average to lowest):
Sudheer Portu +31.0
Robert Wilson +27.4
Joshua Hill +20.9
Dave Bykowski +20.1
Dwight Kidder +15.4
Adam Fine +9.8
Leo Wolpert +3.8

Rob Long -6.1
Noel Erinjeri -6.1
Stan Jastrzebski -8.7
Matthew Marjan -18.2
Sarah Mordan-McCombs -88.3

Thanks to the people who gave up their Sunday to staff: Amanda
Hartman, Julie Stahlhut, Mitchell Szczepanczyk, Anne Mitchell, Dave
Thorsley, Adam Kemezis and Matt Lafer. Special thanks to Anthony
DeJesus for being a person of his word and providing a playoff packet.
Additional thanks to Craig Barker and Geoff Zymslowski for handling
the pre-tournament leg work, although Craig failed on his end of the
bargain and did run out and attempt to tackle a car at the 500.

For those of you planning ahead, the Fifth Annual Montgomery Burns
Tournament for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Popular
Culture, Michigan's one-on-one trash tournament, will be held on
Saturday 2 August 2003.
