Since nobody has really posted anything regarding Viva Trash Vegas aside from results, I figured that I'd chime in with some commments and constructive criticism. 1) Las Vegas is too hot for me during the summer. Perhaps the dry heat of Vegas is somewhat of a relief for those living in more humid climates. Vegas would be a great site for TRASHionals, but I'm sure that the logistics for that would be difficult. 2) I don't enjoy single elimination playoffs, especially when held early on Sunday morning. While I understand that TRASH needed to make its way out of its rooms by the noon checkout time, I would have preferred to play the playoff rounds early on Saturday evening. I do understand also that the scheduling occurred this way due to the Game Show Congress. 3) Despite some minor snafus, the Berkeley team still had a great time playing. If Viva Trash Vegas is the only summer trash option within the Pacific Time Zone, I would possibly attend again next year, despite the heat. I'm hoping that next year's tournament would be run independently of the game show convention, allowing for a more fluid tournament.
