Re: Trivial Pursuit and Quizbowl

Jason, what is the biggest problem the last couple years between the
first and second meetings? The huge drop-off in attendance. At the
first meeting, everyone has to play in shifts because there are so
many. At the second, we're lucky if we have enough people to cover
every buzzer.

If the new leadership thinks the best way to stem that tide this year
is using Trivial Pursuit questions, so be it. I would recommend
using old MAI packets instead, but I'm not in charge.

And that's the rub. I'm not in charge. And neither are you.
Whether you like it or not, Jason, you are no longer club president.
You can't go around throwing temper tantrums because you don't get
your way anymore.

If I didn't know you, I would give you the benefit of the doubt and
assume you posted your query on here to blow off steam. But I do
know you, and I suspect that the discussion over this was not
pleasant to be around.

Jason, if you have any illusion of being able to get some leadership
position back next time around, you're going to have to be a team
player. You can offer your advice, but at the end of the day, you're
going to have to accept the decisions that you don't agree with, or
you're going to have to show yourself the door. It's up to you.

Your reputation is very low. You know how to start repairing it.
And I would be much more concerned about how your teammates think of
you than how the qb community thinks of you right now.

That's just my two cents.
