ACF Fall Midsouth complete results...

Sorry for the delay in posting these!

First, Carol and I would like to thank everyone who helped us
out this weekend... thanks to Kelly for doing a great editing
job, as well as reading for us, our other house readers
Rose, Travis, Jamie, and Phillippe, our stats-keeper Harold,
other folks who kept score or filled in as readers, and especially
to Pellissippi State for generously letting us hold the tournament
there at no charge.

Now, on to the results. With 13 teams, we decided to have a full
round robin, with a playoff between the first two teams if the
first team was not at least two wins ahead of the second place team,
with head-to-head and then points as tiebreakers.
At the end of the round robin, the standings looked like this:

 		W	L	T	PF	PA
Kentucky A	10	2	0	4925	1620
Ga Tech 10	2	0	3795	1945
Emory A 10	2	0	4420	1675
Indiana 9	3	0	3690	2225
South Carolina	8	4	0	3335	2535
Emory B 7	5	0	2580	2725
Vandy A 6	6	0	2555	2945
Kentucky D	6	6	0	2930	2520
Athens State	5	7	0	2380	2925
Kentucky C	4	8	0	1790	3440
Kentucky B	2	10	0	1355	3365
UTC 1	11	0	995	3815
Vandy B 0	12	0	765	3780

Georgia Tech was declared the Division II champion at this point,
being at least two games in the lead among DII teams.

For the overall championship, none of the three teams tied for
first had a head-to-head advantage over the other two, so we
went to points and decided that Georgia Tech and Emory A should
play off for second, with the winner facing Kentucky A for the
championship. Emory A took the second-place match in a narrow
victory over Ga. Tech and moved on to face Kentucky A, who then
defeated Emory for the championship in an even closer final match.

As for individual results, Wesley from Indiana was the tourney MVP
with an impressive 99.17 PPG. Other all-stars were Seth (KY A),
Lee (Athens St.), Chad (KY D), and Robert (KY A).
