perfectly good weekend right before it??>
We
discussed this at some length. We felt it was undesirable
to hold ACF one weekend after NAQT, since most teams
would have to fly in. I had originally lobbied for an
April 1-2 date, but some felt that having it on the
same weekend as TRASH would be too much of a conflict.
(Frankly, I think there would be virtually no overlap in
participants.) However, other extinuating circumstances having
to do with being unable to secure facilities that
weekend at UMCP sealed the deal.
So, quizbowlers,
plan ahead. Get those term papers written and save
your pennies. ACF is waiting a week so you can catch
up on your schoolwork before jetting off to
Maryland.
