Exactly. This was my argument, which I recall making at the time, but forgot when I
began my diatribe.

As for the Danzig Trilogy, Chris is right that the "Book three, written in astoundingly
flat prose, follows the Grinder Walter Matem and his scarecrow-making
buddy Eduard Amsel" is pretty clear. But an answer of Dog Years at that point is
justified.

While I've not done something the size of Penn Bowl, this year's technophobia had 18
teams and fifteen packets. I used a simply Python utility and the ever handy grep to
find repeat answers. It works pretty well. And playtesting questions can reveal when
things are too easy or too hard.

Perhaps we on the WC have been spoiled, but up until this year, every tournament has
had breakfast. I think it's more of an obligation than a nice plus if you're paying more
than $70 for a tournament. Because college students don't like waking up early and
there is often a substantial amount of waiting around, it's better to have fed people
waiting. And Caltech has food at every tournament we host that charges money. :)

My critique was comparing this year's "Cardinal Classic," which happened to be a
mirror of Penn Bowl, with past incarnations. I felt that it was below what was below
(perhaps an unfairly high) my past expectations.
