While I agree with Joon on the use of winning
percentage rather than total wins (as well as TU/game and
Int/game), I don't think doing a live draft would be
feasible. The main reason behind this opinion is that
necessary coordination of individual schedules in order to
have everyone simultaneously meet in the chatroom is
probably not going to work.
Also, the main reason
for using the recent NAQT results is to have a common
ground for national comparison. In the case of
anomalies, such as Vik putting up 110 ppg because he played
solo, these could be accounted for by instead using the
NAQT conference results from the fall or ACF regionals
from last year as the "comparison chart" for all your
possible selections.
PS I don't believe The
Platypus is a viable draftee, regardless of its
performance at QotC two years ago.
