Actually, though
the small NW SCT (with only four teams making it
there) played all teams together, the entire tournament
played the Division II questions. This decision, while
appropriate to the teams at the sectional, our first attempt
to hold one in that area of the country, meant that
team stats of the Division I teams playing couldn't be
compared to stats of Division I teams elsewhere. The
sectional thus produces only two invitations: to the
host/overall champ Washington, and to the UG/Div. II champ
Whitman, which elected to play in Div. II at the ICT.
These were automatic invitations, and otherwise the
stats for the tournament were simply ignored.
