TOURNAMENT - Allentown Trivia Bowl

The good folks at Team Allentown (who you'll be seeing at TRASHionals
007 this April) invite you to compete in a little warm-up to the big
event. Courtesy of Mike Gessner...

The Allentown Trivia Bowl (which most of you have heard of or played
in) will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2004. It is a one day
tournament. Until the semi-finals we use multiple tables. Everyone
plays AT LEAST 5 games (even if you go 0-5).

The top 4 teams make the semis.... We actually choose teams by a
draft, so individuals can come without a team. There are 2-3 groups
that stay as a team (they come from out of state and we accomodate
them). Qs are like CU. The first half is just like CU's Bowl, but the
second half is all toss-ups (and scored differently, as if each Q is
+20 or -20). Called the Lightning Round.

Allentown is near New York City and Philadelphia by the way. About
70 miles from both if you triangulate.

Each player writes an entire game, if you can. It is not mandatory.
Equal # of movie, TV, sports, music, etc. He/she is then the
moderator. We have extra games so no one can play in their own game.
Many of us write 2-3 games for each bowl. If you want to come, you
don't have to bring any questions, though.

The tournament is at a hotel near Allentown's airport (forget which
one).

The Allentown folks are inviting any players to compete at this
event, ESPECIALLY those who competed against them at the TRASH Mid-
Atlantic Regional last November. Guaranteed food, fun and folks to
be had!
