2003 Chicago Open Stats

Hello people,

For anyone who's interested, the 2003 Chicago Open Stats are up on the
web at:

http://www-personal.umich.edu/~plitwak/ChiOpen2003
/Chicago%20Open%202003_standings.html

Thanks to my friend Paul Litvak for putting them up on the web as I
was too incompetent and not motivated enough to figure out how.

A couple of things about the stats. Sorry for the tardiness - due to
a couple of mishaps I was forced to transcribe the stats by hand from
the original scoresheets, and the combination of my sloth and work and
school demands prevented me from doing this earlier.

The format of the tournament was a full round robin (9 rounds) and
then the top 5 played another round robin. The bottom five
were supposed to play a round robin as well but due to a team (Poulos'
Gang) leaving early, we switched to ladder play. That's the reason
for the weird number of games for a few teams. I didn't have most
team names handy, so I just made some up.

Men Without Women was actually the fifth place team, as it was the
lowest seed of the upper bracket entering the second round robin.
Also, Valencia was 2-11 I believe; I'm not sure where the extra loss
came from.
