In order to streamline the process for joining the group, we have
instituted a slight change. Previously, a pending member would be
contacted by a moderator and asked to provide his/her identity via
email correspondence. In the new procedure, prospective members should
provide this information (name and, if applicable, school) to the
moderators by means of the "comments to owner" box. This change is
reflected in the group header information and should significantly
decrease the time between membership application and approval.
