My congratulations to the USF squad on their victory at the Dooley. The Macon State team had a great time. My thanks to Robin and to UGA for making it possible.
I'm particularly pleased with the potential of the "trashademic" format. There were some variations in how it was applied at the Dooley, and I think most of the people I talked with said they enjoyed it. The format is in its infancy and there may be some fine-tuning to be done over time, but I have to say it shows tremendous promise, especially for young teams without a lot of academic competition experience.
I hope this hybrid format will encourage further discussion, experimentation and innovation.
