Division II teams

Format:

Division I play
will consist of a series of six games against teams
from different parts of the country and of varying
skill levels followed by five rounds of power-matched
play against teams of similar ability. The playoffs
will consist of four rounds of ladder play, after
which the first- and second-place teams will advance to
a best-of-three series with the top team being
given a one-game advantage.

The Division II
tournament will be a split-pool round robin followed by
playoffs consisting of four rounds of ladder play. The
finals will be a best-of-three series in which the top
seed is given a one-game
advantage.

This is the only hotel with which Boston University
College Bowl has currently worked out a deal. The current
package is 35 rooms at a rate of $129/quad (ask for the
"NAQT" block when reserving). This is the only hotel
located on BU's campus, and is just a 7-minute walk from
the tournament site. Since it is located on Boston's
subway system (the "T"), teams that are flying in will
*not* need to rent a car.

The Terrace Inn is two miles west of BU, but on the B
line train the tournament site is only 15-20 minutes
(and $0.85) away. Current rates for the weekend of the
ICT are between $129-$139/quad. Boston University
College Bowl does not currently have a reservation
package or block of reserved rooms at this
hotel.

While 5 miles from Boston University, the Holiday Inn
is still on the T line, and the tournament can be
reached for a fare of $0.85; a return trip to the
tournament site will be $2.00. Current rates are
$129.95/quad. Boston University College Bowl does not currently
have a reservation package or block of reserved rooms
at this hotel.

Flights:

NAQT has
arranged for a discount on Delta Airlines for teams
traveling to the ICT by air. Unfortunately, the details of
the plan are not available as of the writing of this
announcement; they will be provided as quickly as
possible
