NAQT is looking for new writers

Everybody --

NAQT is looking for more experienced writers to join its writing pool for the
2004-2005 season, mostly to write standard quiz bowl tossups and bonuses, but
also to write a certain number of shorter, easier questions for the various
televisions shows that we supply.

NAQT's increasing popularity has allowed us to increase the base rate that we
pay for tossups and bonses to $1.65 this year; this is paid when questions are
accepted (not when they are used). Approximately 93% of questions submitted by
writers are accepted.

If you would like to write for NAQT, download our new writers kit at

	http://www.naqt.com/jobs.html

and submit a sample of 10 questions (not 25, as stated in the kit) to us at
naqt-at-naqt.com.

Please note that it is very possible to continue to compete in NAQT at either
the DI or DII collegiate level while still writing questions for our other sets;
we'll make sure that your questions don't get used in any tournaments in which
you are planning to play.

We need questions in all categories, but are particularly looking for writers of
science, math, social science, current events, and fine arts. I want to
emphasize, though, that all writers in all specialities are welcome.

If you have any questions about writing for NAQT, or the application process,
please contact us at naqt-at-naqt.com.
