Re: B teams

I've been following this discussion re B teams
with interest, and would be interested in hearing a
high school take on it.

Some Illinois coaches
feel that the B team situation has gotten out of hand
here. It is generally understood that--unless you tell
the tournament host otherwise when you register--your
B team is your weaker team. Unfortunately, some
coaches have been known to enter a B team equal to their
A team, or if they see that the B team has an
easier bracket, flip the two. Many of us seed our
morning round-robins and get suspicious when a B-team
wins a bracket that wasn't an upset. Any
ideas?

The more recent problem: many coaches enter B squads
in order to give their non-starters a chance to play
(and in many cases making their principals happy) and
have no problems accepting a 0-4 win/loss at the end
of the morning round-robins. But there are a few who
actually get upset when Powerhouse A defeats them with a
score of 400-10 or some such. What do they expect? Did
any of you college bowlers notice anything similar
when you played high school qb? Or is this a more
recent phenomenon?
