The University of Southern California Quiz Bowl club is holding a
high school tournament (let's call it Trojan Wars for now) on
Saturday, December 4, 2004. It will be an official NAQT tournament,
with timed 9-minute halves, and a minimum of 10 games for each team.
We will probably cap the field at 24, so let us know right away if you
are interested in attending.
The pay schedule is as follows:
Base rate: $95
Second team: -$10
Third team: -$20
Buzzer: -$5
Timer: -$10
Minimum fee: $60
Check-in will be at 9 am, the rules meeting at 9:30, and the first
round at 9:45, so we can end at a reasonable time. We don't have the
rooms confirmed yet, so I'll send out another post when I have that
information, along with parking, directions, etc.
