TRASH regionals NE quick results

Hey everyone, this is just a stopgag post until I get sent the full
stats report which I will them send to teams, the web and other
appropriate sources.

Eight teams made the trek out to the Frozen Tundra of the Shapiro
Campus Center for the New England TRASH regionals. A full round
robin was played, after which the top 4 and bottom four teams played
a double round robin amongst themselves.

After the inital RR the standings were thus:
1. Brandeis: The Defenestration of Rey Mysterio Jr.
2. I Heart Gerbils
3. Doyle Brunson's Nurtisystem
4. BU (some crazy-ass name that escapes me)

The bottom bracket was:
5. Family Fun with Chimeras
6. BC A
7. Williams
8. BC B

Following the double round robin, a clear champion was established,
that being Doyle Brunson's Nutrisystem (Mike Hoey-Lukakis, Josh
Levit, Ahmed Ismail, Peter Stone) Second place went to Brandeis (Dan
Passner, Chris Rantz, Scott Bleweiss, Roger Cheng) Third place went
to the Gerbils and 4th place went to BU, who also took the all-
undergrad title home. Family Fun with Chimeras won the bottom
bracket. For their awesome victory, Doyle Brunson took home a trophy
of a large and oddly shaped pumpkin.

Individual high scorer was Kyle Pope of Chimeras with 45 PPG,
followed by Dan Passner, then Mike Hoey Lukakis. After that, my
exact memory gets fuzzy, but Nathan Bragg and Jack from BU as well
as Josh Levit and Chris Rantz, Jon Couture, Shawn DeVeau and Allyson
were all in the top 12. Top undergrad scorers were Dan Passner, Jack
from BU and Nathan Bragg.

Special thanks goes out to our first time TD and Vice President Amy
Padva who did a smashing job. Also, thanks to our readers, Steve
Watchorn and the Coens, and our Brandeis volunteers, who helped make
it all possible. TRASH made one of its best sets in recent memory,
and should certainly recieve note for that. Thanks to all the teams
who came and made this a success.

Dan
