TrashMasters: field update #2

(Apologies in advance for the dreaded cross-posting. I used to have
nice, clean e-mail lists, once upon a time...)

The field for TrashMasters 2004 has grown considerably since the
earlier message. (So much for the quindecimary round robin format.)
Right now we have 12 to 15 teams on tap, two of which have actually
sent me packets. The field is below, but first a little business...

MORE TEAMS & FREE AGENTS: We can still accept more teams, assuming
you sign up soon. There are also a couple of potential free agents
available. E-mail me if you're looking for a free agent, want to
become one, or want to form a team.

PACKETS: All packet discounts have passed, but there's still time to
get your round to me without penalty (by midnight Sunday night, but
we'll pretend I meant Pacific time, giving those in Eastern time till
3 AM Monday morning 11/29.)

SCHEDULE: TrashMasters is UTC's only remaining two-day tournament (a
rarity these days... I remember the old 23-team round robin
invitationals, back when I was a young pup...) We have a request on
the table for shortening the tournament to one day. With the new
improved field size, I don't see how we could do this. *BUT* if
people are willing, we can roll K-Tel Hell to Sunday morning and thus
stand a reasonable chance of getting the round robin finished
Saturday, leaving Sunday for K-Tel Hell, playoffs, and stories
something reminded me of. If anyone objects or knows a good reason
not to go that route, drop me a line.

Also, I'll be interested in knowing for future reference whether
other people would prefer a one-day event in the future, or stick
with the day-and-a-half format.

Either way, this year registration will begin at 9:30 AM EST on Sat.
12/4/04, with announcements at 9:45 and play starting at 10 AM.
Start time for Sun. 12/5/04 is tentatively set at 9 AM, but we
reserve the right to move it earlier if circumstances require it.
Come hell or high water, we will be finished -- playoffs and
everything -- by 2 PM Sunday. Tournament headquarters will be Grote
129 on the UTC campus.

BUT CHARLIE, WHAT ABOUT THAT FIELD UPDATE? Oh, yeah. I digress.
Sorry. Anyway, here's the field as I have it for the moment. Please
check for accuracy, send me team names, etc. I can be reached by e-
mail (steinhic at bellsouth dot net -- and yes, it's steinhic, not
steinhice.) Thanks.
