I'd like to inform you that on July 2nd the second individual world
quiz championships will be organized by the IQA, the International
Quizzing Association.
The IQA consists of national quiz federations from numerous countries
including the United Kingdom, India, Malaysia, Norway, Belgium etc.
The first event was organized on July 3, 2004 and the Englishman Kevin
Ashman (a professional quiz players) won the title. The IQA has also
recently held the first European Championships, both for individuals
as for national teams, on December 3 in Ghent, Belgium, an event that
got prime time coverage on national television.
Unlike the European Championships, no international travel is required
to take part in the World Championships.
