I don't have much information on the Vancouver mirror as of yet. What
I do know will be outlined in this post.

In Vancouver, the base fee will be $15 per team. I, the tournament
director, may lower this either through discounts as outlined below
or as I see fit under various circumstances. The discounts outlined
below are not fixed and are subject to change.

In Vancouver, anybody either of the age of majority or a student at a
post-secondary institution may play. People not satisfying either
requirement must ask me for permission to play due to possible
concerns about sexual content (this is also the policy of TRASH). If
you played this tournament in Ottawa, you may not play it in
Vancouver.

There will be no reduction in fees for multiple teams from one
institution in Vancouver.

I will offer $5 off for a team that submits a pack to Ben by this
deadline, whether half or full. I'd offer more, but it's already a
cheap tournament.

A pack sent to Ben by this deadline will earn its team $3 off.

A pack sent to Ben by this deadline is worth $2 off.

This will be worth $5 off, and is most likely to persuade me to lower
your fees further because we do not have many buzzer systems.
However, if you don't bring a buzzer system, I may not give you as
much in discounts in other places. Note that this discount will only
apply to buzzer systems that get used; I will, however, spread around
this discount between the participating teams so that one team or
institution with multiple systems does not lower their fees solely
through use of this discount.

> -$10 for a full-time moderator

This will earn a team $5 off.

This discount will be applied in conjunction with pack discounts to a
maximum of $5 off between the two.

I have not decided if I will give a travel discount; the tournament
is already inexpensive.

The minimum fee in Vancouver is $0.

The same policy will likely apply in Vancouver, so change your money
at the border.

Gameplay rules as outlined on Ottawa's page for this tournament will
apply in Vancouver. If a game is tied after 3 overtime tossups are
read, play will become "sudden death" -- the next team to correctly
answer a tossup wins, or, the next team to interrupt incorrectly will
lose. Depending on attendance, we may run a single, double or triple
round-robin, with playoffs afterward (likely Page playoffs with 1-
game advantages to higher-ranked teams if we have enough packs).

A tentative team list for the Vancouver site:
Simon Fraser University (2)
University of British Columbia (2)

The date for this tournament is, as above, March 26th. This is one
week before ACF nationals, after which comes the ICT, TRASHionals and
College Bowl Nationals. So if you want to warm up for the big
tournaments, come to Vancouver on the 26th!
