Hey, I'd like to remind everyone that there is an active channel for
quizbowl discussion and the friendly reading of old packets on
Internet Relay Chat. The location is the slashnet network
(irc.slashnet.org), channel #quizbowl. You can connect with mIRC or
any other IRC client, or, if you cannot run a separate program, David
Levinson has provided a Java client at http://www.faqt.org/chat2.html .
For new IRC users: Download mIRC from www.mirc.com, or if you already
use an all-in-one program such as Trillian for your instant messaging,
you can probably connect to IRC through that. Start the program and
complete any initialization windows. Remember to select a nickname, or
you may not be able to connect. Then type the following in the command
line:
/server irc.slashnet.org
Once the connection is fully established, type:
/join #quizbowl
and you'll be there.
