Standby
Status:

As of Monday, March 6, 2000, NAQT will be accepting
up to three standby teams for the ICT in Division I
and two standby teams in Division II. Standby teams
travel to the site of the ICT and will replace teams
that cancel at the last minute or who fail to arrive
at the tournament site. There is no guarantee that
teams on standby will have any chance to play, but in
previous years at least one standby team has been invited
to join the field. Teams that come on standby who do
join the tournament field will pay no entry fee. Teams
that come on standby and who do not join the
tournament field will be expected to assist as needed in the
running of the tournament; they will also receive free
copies of the questions used at the tournament as well
as free Intramural questions for the following year
(cost $300).
