On Saturday, April 30th, 11 teams participated in the second annual
Berkeley Late Spring Tournament. After an 11-match round-robin, the
field was split into a top bracket of 6 and a bottom bracket of 4
because CalTech left early, and a round-robin was played within each
bracket. After 16 rounds, Chicago B was the clear winner, having lost
only once; Chicago A was second with four losses and Berkeley B third

Thanks to all the teams that showed up. Thanks also to Jon Pennington,
Jeff Hoppes, Matt Bruce, Matt Levine, and Andy Penner for sacrificing
their Saturday to moderate for this event. Extra-special thanks to
Miguel Ruiz, who picked up the prizes. Finally, thanks go out to Matt
Weiner and Eric Kwartler, whose excellent work on the non-science
categories of this tournament made it possible.
