Moc Masters, the academic half of UTC's August biathlon, is coming up
on Sun., Aug. 7. Here's a surprise -- packets are slow in coming
in. Before I launch into a writing frenzy, I thought I should ask if
there are any potential question trading partners -- academic
tournaments scheduled elsewhere for either that weekend, the one
before, or the one after. I didn't spot any in a quick scan of the
group's messages, but I'm old and I miss more details than I used
to.
The answer to that question notwithstanding, we earnestly beseech
thee to write freelance academic questions. We'll give you *three*
tournaments of practice questions for every full round received by
Mon. 8/1, or prorate it and trade a full tournament for roughly 1/3
of a packet (say 8 tossups and 7 boni, or vice versa.) Extra science
would be especially helpful, but questions from all categories stand
an excellent chance of finding a good home. See message #15593 for
packet specs.
If you're interested in freelancing or packet swaps, e-mail me at
steinhic [at] bellsouth [dot] net. Thanks.
P.S. Sorry to be so slow in posting results from our June
tournaments -- I skipped town for a week-plus. Results will probably
be posted tomorrow night, assuming the diskette is still where I
think it is.
