Mid-Atlantic TRASH Regionals at Maryland

Come one, come all, strut your stuff and show us what you know
at the 2005 Mid-Atlantic TRASH Regionals Tournament in College
Park, Maryland on Sunday, November 13.

Please note that teams do _not_ have to submit packets to
participate at TRASH Regionals.

Registration Deadline: October 21 (teams will be allowed to
register after the deadline at the discretion of the tournament director)

First Team - $80
Second Team - $60
Additional Teams - $40 each
(this is limited to official school teams, i.e. random
non-affiliated teams cannot register together for a discount)

Minimum fee per team: $20

Discounts:
Working buzzer - $10 each (limit 3 per school)
Competent moderator - $15 each
Travel discount (100+ miles) - $10 per team
Double-Header Discount - $10 per team that plays at ACF Fall at Maryland
Virgin Discount - Teams making their first appearance at TRASH
will get to play for only $20
Trebekian Discount - Teams featuring a contestant from Jeopardy!'s
Ultimate Tournament of Champions will get to play for only $20

*All applicable discounts will be applied once. If you bring one
moderator and two teams, only one team will receive the discount.
However, if you bring multiple teams, extra discounts will be
applied to subsequent teams until all discounts are accounted for.
Travel Discounts apply to each team from a school.

**I strongly encourage teams playing at both ACF Fall and TRASH
Regionals to bring moderators. If you can feasibly fit 5 people in a
car, you will have an extra player that can moderate each day,
resulting in discounts both days.

Penalties (besides packet):
Late Registration (after November 5): $10 per team
Showing up late to the tournament (after the first round starts): Plus
$5 per round per team

Cancellation within 48 hours of Tournament without just cause:
Half of whatever your current fee is (e.g. a team that would be
charged $60 if they had shown up would be assessed a fee of $30)
Not showing up at the tournament without cancellation: 3/4 of what
your current fee is

(Please note that failure to pay cancellation fees will result
in your team being banned from future tournaments at Maryland until
the account is settled)

These penalties are meant to make the tournament run as smoothly as
possible, and we'd rather not have to enforce them.
