Trojan Wars III (HS) Announcement

The University of Southern California Quiz Bowl club is holding a
high school tournament (let's call it Trojan Wars III for now) on
Saturday, December 3, 2005. It will be an official NAQT tournament,
with timed 9-minute halves, and a minimum of 10 games for each team.

The pay schedule is as follows:
Base rate: $95
Second team: -$10
Third team: -$20
Buzzer: -$5
Timer: -$10
Minimum fee: $60

     If you are interested in attending, please e-mail me at 
(quizbowl at
usc dot edu) and let me know how many teams, buzzers, and timers you
are planning to bring. Payment at the tournament is
fine; we take cash or checks made out to "USC Quiz Bowl."

     Check-in will be at 9am in the lobby of Taper Hall, along with
breakfast foods (THH on a campus map, which can be found at
http://www.usc.edu/about/visit/upc/driving_directions/). Please be on
time so we can get started on time (and therefore end on time, which
should be around 6 pm). All the games will be in that building as 
well.

     The nearest on-campus parking is Parking Structure D (PSD on the 
map),
but if you want to save money, you can feed the 4-hour meters around
campus or park in the neighborhood west of campus for free.
