USF Novice - brief results

Congratulations to Florida State for winning the 6th annual Novice
Invitational Tournament at USF on Saturday, Nov. 19. With 20 teams
participating, the field was split into two round robin groups,
followed by single elimination flights. FSU went 11-0, defeating
University of Miami and tournament high scorer Jay Sridhar (120 ppg
avg.) in the final. UF-A was third, followed by Valencia CC A in
fourth. Billy Beyer of FSU won the neg award and had an interesting
stat line that was something like 24 powers/27 regulars/20 neg-5s. A
power hitter, to be sure. Melissa from UF-B won the Music Madness at
lunchtime with a total of 120 out of 150 possible points. Amazing!
Full results and stats to be posted soon. Thanks to everyone for
participating, and thanks especially to our excellent volunteeers and
moderators. You all rocked!
