NAQT South Sectionals at the University of Tulsa

Greetings, everyone! I am pleased to announce that the University of 
Tulsa Academic Bowl Team will be hosting the NAQT South Sectionals 
Tournament on Saturday February 11th, 2006. And now, for the 
important stuff...

Fees and Discounts:
Base Fee: $120
Additional Teams: $100/each
Operational Buzzer Discount: -$10 (limit 2)
Operational Timer Discount: -$10 (limit 2)
Volunteer Discount: -$10 (only if we use them)
Travel Discount: -$5/per 100 miles (max of -$25)
NAQT SCT Virgin: -$10 (per school, not team)
Minimum Fee: $60

The tournament will take place in Chapman Hall (same building as 
always) on the TU campus. Registration will begin at 8:30am, to be 
followed by an information/rules meeting at 9:00am. I hope to begin 
matches no later than 9:30am.

When registering, please indicate to me how many teams you will be 
bringing, as well as buzzers, timers, and volunteers, in addition to 
the classification of each team. The classification system is thus:
Division I, Division I (Undergrad), and Division II.

To be eligible to compete in Division II, the following criteria must 
be met: 1. The team consists only of Undergraduate players (no Grad 
students allowed); 2. No one on the team has qualified for and/or 
played at NAQT Nationals; 3. Everyone on the team is an actual 
student at the college/university for which one is playing; 4. No one 
on the team already possesses a Bachelor's degree or higher; 5. No 
one on the team has played for more than four years in NAQT 
competitions.

As long as everyone on each specific team meets those requirements, 
they are eligible for Division II; otherwise, said team is 
automatically Division I.

know, and we will work something out.

Lastly, more than likely, we will be hosting a trash tournament on 
the Sunday following NAQT SCT. This tournament will be house-written. 
If you are interested in attending such an event, please let me know, 
so that we can start working on it.
