After ACF Nationals, I had the chance to speak with some people about
a potential summer East Coast tournament and got a pretty favorable
response. However, the one thing that is missing from the equation is
a host. I have been in contact with Columbia, but they are not allowed
to reserve rooms until September.
So I'm putting out a call for hosts to run a summer East Coast
tournament. The plan is to run the event on the weekend of either June
17th or June 24th, and the hope is to hold this in a location that's
relatively central for most East Coast teams, like New York City. It's
also desirable to have it there because NYC is an attractive location
for teams coming from some distance away, such as Chicago and others.
However, I'm not excluding any reasonable location on the East Coast
as a possibility.
The tournament itself would either be packet submission or
house-written; this has not yet been decided.
