Chicago Open and Gottfried Keller Mirrors at UMD

The Maryland Academic Quiz Team is happy to confirm that we will be
hosting mirrors of both the Chicago Open and the Gottfried Keller
Trash Tournament July 29 and 30, respectively.

Both events are open to all interested parties, be they collegiate
team or otherwise, and are scheduled to be held in the Armory
(although the location is subject to change).

Pending the amount of interest, the tournaments will either be run as
normal (assuming enough teams register) or a modified singles format
in which players will play on continuously mixed teams with separate
rankings for both individual win-loss record and individual scoring. 
When registering, please indicate your preferred format, so that if I
get a majority in favor of one over the other I can go ahead and
figure out a schedule (note this only matters if we get 6 or fewer teams).

The base fee for the Chicago Open Mirror will be $110 per team,
although if you somehow are able to put a packet together and send it
to Ezequiel Berdichevsky at eberdich_at_... (eberdich [at] gmail
[dot] com) by July 14 we'll knock $25 off the price.  Please see the
original Chicago Open announcement for packet specs (link below).

For individual registration for the Chicago Open Mirror, the base fee
will be $30 a person.

The base fee for the Gottfried Keller Trash Tournament Mirror will be
$75 per team, $20 per individual.  

There will be a buzzer discount of $10 per system, with a limit of one
system per individual and two per team (although if you want to bring
more and sell your discount to another team that's your prerogative).
