Maryland's TNA Weekend will be taking place this weekend, January 27th and 28th. On the 27th is TIT (Terrapin Invitational Tournament), our annual academic tournament, and ASS (Atlantic Seaboard Skirmish), our new, themed trash tournament. Here are the updates for each of the tournaments: =====TIT===== Field Update: Penn (1) UVA (2) VCU (1) William and Mary (1) There's still plenty of room, so if teams would like to register, please send Jonathan Magin an email at jsmagin_at_.... Additionally, if any teams would like to write a freelance packet, they should contact him at the above address. An update on when and where registration will be will be posted soon. =====ASS===== Field Update: Wilmington Charter School - 1 Team University of Rochester - 3 Teams Dan Goff and others - 1 Team UVA - 1 Team Brick Barientos and others - 1 Team College Park Retirement Castle - 1 Team GW - 1 Team Bringing the total to 9 teams. I would like to have an even number of teams to avoid byes, so we're still looking for one or three additional teams for the tournament. The field will be capped at either 10 or 12 teams. Registration will remain open until Thursday. Again, please contact me at mike000_at_umd.edu (that's three zeros) if you want to register a team. The tournament will be taking place in Jimenez Hall at the University of Maryland, the usual venue for Maryland's collegiate tournaments. Registration will be in the small lecture hall in the basement from 8- 9 AM. Follow the posted signs to find the room. We expect to have about 9 rounds of play and a finals round or two.
