The Mice

For those of you in the room when I moderated or
scorekept at TRASHionals (nb: I was the _other_ one in the
red shirt), you noticed that I played one of the most
bizarre songs of all time. Here are the facts so I don't
need to keep repeating them :-).

The song comes
from the end credits of Babe (one of two movies I ever
cried at, the other is Glory), where the "Greek Chorus"
of mice who also sing "Blue Moon" sing "If I had
words...".

The tune is Saint-Saens' "Organ" Symphony No. 3,
available on Michael Feldman's "Whad'ya Know About Film
Classics" - recommended also for Canon in D, Toccata and
Fuge in D, and Adagio for Strings. The lyrics are as
follows...

And a one, and a two, and a three - Hit
it!

"If I had words to make a day for you
I'd sing you
a morning golden and new
I'd make this day last
for all time
Give you a night deep in
moonshine".

Repeat until you hear high-pitched "hee-hees" and fade
out.
