I just want to know EXACTLY
how the strength of schedule algorithm will work.
Please walk me through the following examples and tell
me how the power rating changes for each
team.
EXAMPLE:
1. A team is 2-2 after 5 preliminary rounds having
played opponents with finishing WP's of 1.00, 0.50,
0.25, and 0.00 . The order of matches: W vs 0.00 team,
L vs. 1.00, W vs. 0.50, L vs. 0.25 .
2.
Assume that there were actually 6 preliminary games to
be played and the team in example 1 had a bye (team
forfeit win). How does it compare with a team that went
3-2 who played against opponents with WP's of in
order: W vs. 0.60, W vs. 0.20, W vs. 0.30, L vs. 1.00, L
vs. 0.80 ? And who gets the better ranking going into
the next round?
