Tournament Announcement: NAQT Southwest SCT at Tulsa (2/9/08)

Greetings, everyone! The University of Tulsa Academic Bowl Team is 
pleased to announce that we will be the host for NAQT Southwest SCT 
2008, to be held in Chapman Hall on the TU campus on Saturday 
February 9th, 2008. This is the lone qualifying tournament for NAQT 
ICT.

Fees and Discounts
Base Fee: $120
Additional Team(s): $100 (per team)
Operational Buzzer Discount: -$10 (limit 2)
Volunteer Discount: -$10 (only if we use them)
Travel Discount: -$5/per 100 miles (max of -$20)
Timer Discount: -$5 (limit 3)
New School Discount: -$40 (per school, not team)*
Minimum Fee: $75 (per team)**

*The "New School" discount applies only to schools who have neither 
competed in nor hosted NAQT SCT in the past two years.

**The minimum fee for "New Schools" will be $50 per team.

When registering, please indicate to me how many teams you will be 
bringing, as well as buzzers, timers, and volunteers, in addition to 
the classification(s) of each team. For this tournament, we will use 
the following classifications: Division I, Division I (Undergrad), 
and Division II.

To be eligible to compete in Division II, the following criteria must 
be met by EVERYONE on the team: 1. The team consists solely of 
Undergraduate players (no Grad students allowed); 2. No one on the 
team has qualified for and/or played at NAQT Nationals; 3. Everyone 
on the team is an actual student at the college/university for which 
one is playing; 4. No one on the team possesses a Bachelor's degree 
or higher; 5. No one on the team has played for more than four years 
in NAQT competitions.

As long as everyone on each specific team meets those requirements, 
they are eligible for Division II; otherwise, said team is 
automatically Division I.

finances are an issue, please let me know, and we will work something 
out.

The registration deadline is Saturday February 2nd at 11:59pm CST.
