I think a summer tournament would be great fun.
Personally, I think Atlantic City would be good. It is a
central location for East Coast folks, and it is fairly
cheap. People could get a block of rooms in a hotel and
have games there.
I heard some people talking
about going to Canada since it allows gambling from 18
up. If I remember correctly, Minnesota also allows
gambling for 18 and up. Though neither Canada nor
Minnesota strike me as really the best places to go to
gamble. I would still say Atlantic City or Las Vegas are
better. People can go swimming in AC, and there are a ton
of shows in Vegas. Could there be a couple of mirror
tournaments?
Also, I don't know about anyone else, but I have a
pretty tight work schedule this summer. The Fourth of
July is on a Tuesday, but a lot of people get that
Monday or Friday off instead. Would that be a
possibility for the tournament weekend?
