Ye Gods. Be grateful that you have something to
whine and complain about. Back in the old days, when we
had to walk to all the tournaments barefoot in the
snow, uphill both ways, there was only one national
tournament to attend, you had to qualify for it in a
ridiculous manner by winning a Regional (usually a
double-elimination tournament) or getting lucky and being drawn
"randomly" as a #2 finisher.
NAQT deserves kudos for
providing another national forum to compete in, and for
writing questions for that tournament. If you don't like
it, form your own organization, and take your lumps
from the rest of the lazy bastards out there who don't
like your format.
