NAQT: A late-entry wrap-up

Now that I've caught up on sleep and TV viewing,
I wanted to say a quick hello to anyone I know who
was at this past weekend's grand event that I didn't
get a chance to talk to, and to say goodbye to anyone
I missed before they left.

That said, I'd
like to thank all the teams for coming, and especially
those who were in my room for being good sports and for
being really nice. It was great to finally put some
faces with names of people on the circuit who don't
usually make it to the Northeast tourneys. We don't often
get to hear Southern/Midwest/English accents up here
-- but we'd love to hear them more, so if you think
you can brave Boston in February, we'd love to see
you at T-10!

This was the first time I've been
at an academic nationals (been to TRASHionals three
times), and I was amazed at the quality of play that I
saw. And I also was impressed at how smoothly things
seem to have gone, for which I commend NAQT, my
colleagues at BU and anyone else who gave up a beautiful
Friday and Saturday in April to help
out.
