OK, so if NAQT is perceived to be abusing the
mailing list to gain unfair advantage over their
competitors, then we just call the Justice Department and when
they're done with Microsoft they can come on over and
bust it up. Or they could just conclude that the
mailing list is run independently of NAQT, as it happens
to be a separate "company" which merely rented a
convenient space. Unless we all want to hire an outside
group to set up and moderate the list, assuming anyone
not connected with QB and therefore having a
potential conflict of interest feels like it, I think we
should thank the volunteers upon which our community
depends for its infrastructure and worry about problems
when some small signs appear there might be one. In
this case, theory must bow to practicality. And I
don't say things like that often.
