At the risk of this thread running amok, here's
some more potential films:
Judy - Local
Chicago-land girl realizes her dream of playing for the Maroon
after community college and years of hard work on the
practice squad, coming in off the bench in the last
round-robin NAQT game to hit a tossup against Georgia
Tech.
Buzzers - A small high school in Central Virginia battles
through adversity and a coach fights through his troubled
past to lead his underdog team over Governor's School
for a state title
Judge Shot - Life on the
road and at home with a foundering minor league trash
franchise, featuring a grizzled player-coach and a star
player fresh out of the Northeastern/Ivy League circuit.
Lots of fights and quotable wacky
characters.
Die Hard 4: Bruce Willis is caught in the midst of a
terrorist attack at a national championship tourney and
must fight off the forces of evil attempting to blow
up the competition building.
