If nobody seems to have much trouble with the
"warrior" idea, why not just let *everybody* have a
pre-determined number, and if they get that tossup correct, they
get 25 points?
Assign the numbers in pairs, so
that there's always the possibility that two people
could be fighting over a question in any particular
round, and maybe omit the last few questions in each
round so as not to weight those questions too much, and
you'd have a pretty workable
suggestion.
