Thanks for posting something else! As for my view
on power markings, I think that Harvard T-Party was
the only tournament where I liked their placement.
One thing that I can't stand are power marks
mid-phrase. At NLIT, there was a clue about the Winnipeg Blue
Bombers. I answered correctly (Grey Cup) just after, but
the power mark was after Winnipeg. That's rude. And I
don't exactly know what NAQT was thinking at
Sectionals. I'm still stuck on that Israel's is Hatikvah
thing and I was sitting on it; I knew it from the first
item: Japan's is Kimigayo. And then there was a
question about Djibouti that I did not get power for even
though the clues were not yet uniquely
identifying.
Placing power marks definitely is an art. I try to place
them just before a giveaway clue.
