QFL Second Call

Well, we're more than halfway through the week (58%
now, by my 
watch) that I budgeted for signing up
for the Quizbowl Football (read: 
Soccer) League.
So far, there are six inaugural franchises, as seen
below:

	A few
notes about my selection: it is by no means final. As
the 
owner of the league, I figure I'm entitled to
one franchise a la MLS. 
However, by default, I
will get _last_ choice in the league. So, if you

actually wanted DC, and that's what's keeping you out, by
all means take 
it, and I'll find another team.
Also, you notice I haven't voted with 
regards to
the draft. Simply put, I'm only breaking a tie. Yep,
just 
call me Sepp Blatter. Or Cedric (?) Dempsey.
Either way, I'm already 
notorious enough to fit the
bill... but I digress.

On Monday afternoon, after
the 2:00 deadline, I will wander over to

eGroups.com and set up the eGroup QFL. On it, I will put all
the owners 
based on wherever they emailed me from
(unless they tell me otherwise). 
I will also announce
the final list of teams. From there on out, you

will not hear of this until the season's over and we
decide that we want 
to keep going (if we decide
that).

The cap of 24 teams has been abolished. However, the
FIFA EA simulator 
will only let me "be" eight
teams (I can still muck around with all of 
them,
though). So, if ten or more sign up (and we're at 6,
remember), 
there will be a divisional split. Multiple
leagues (with 
promotion/relegation) will take place
if by some odd chance we reach 19 
or
more.

For those of you who want a team, on Tuesday 7/18 you
will be sent your 
game roster. It may not be the
team's current actual roster, since this 
game IS a
few months old. Anyhow, you will have until Monday
afternoon 
at 4:00 PM EDT (7/24) to change your roster
(info on how to be sent to 
QFL). The season will
begin THAT NIGHT (at least 16 games
guaranteed).

To sign up, send an email to apg_at_... (which I
believe can be done 
simply by replying to this
message in your mailbox) containing the
following:

Name
Email
Vote on draft (y/n)
Club Team wanted (if there is
no draft)
Personal Team name (if there is a
draft)

To be safe, consider sending your top three choices,
and remember it's 
first come, first serve. Entry
drive ends Monday at 2 PM, a mere 70 
hours from
